Italia ha vinto il mondiale!!!

That's right, amici, I was in Italy when ITALY WON THE WORLD CUP. I don't know if any of you are soccer fans, but it was an amazing game. When Italy kicked the final goal during the penalty shoot-out, the town erupted. For at least two hours, people sang and danced in the street as cars began an impromptu parade through the town. People were jumping in the fountain, drinking prosecco out of the bottle, and generally celebrating as though they had won the war. I have never seen anything like it! Una bella notte...
